GENERAL RULES:

1. No RDM (Random Death Match)

2. Please no excessive racism in chat (Everyone got to live a little)

3. Respect all players and staff

4. No mic spamming or chat spamming

5. If you're running a shop, do NOT scam people. This rule will be strictly enforced.

6. No CDM (Killing people with your car randomly)

7. Follow FearRP, which basically means act as you would in real life. For example, if someone has their gun pointed at your face and tells you to drop some money, do not pull out your gun and shoot them or runaway. In some cases, like being close to accessible cover, you may use that chance to run and pull out your weapon.

8. Do not attempt to crash/exploit/hack the server/gamemode in any way.

9. No Metagaming (Revealing valuable or private in-character information in an out of character setting like /ooc)

10. Respect NLR (If you die, you may immediately go back to your previous location if you like, but you must act as if you are a completely new person and have no remembrance of past events)

11. You may only use molotovs during a raid (Citizen v Citizen or Citizen v Police)

12. By default law, the possession of semi-automatic pistols is legal, but possessing any other firearm is illegal (The mayor may change these laws)

13. If you are playing with friends and don't have an organization, you may raid with a party of up to 4 people. If you want to raid with a bigger party, you must create an organization.

14. While the rules we have posted here will be heavily enforced, there are also "hidden" rules. If a staff member tells you that you are doing something wrong, listen to them. If you have a problem with this, you may make a complaint on the forums.

Driving Rules:

1. If you want to avoid being pulled over, you need to follow traffic rules as you would in real life. (Stopping at stop signs, red lights, following the speed limit and so forth)

2. If a police officer is trying to pull you over and you are NOT wanted, you MUST pull over. After the officer tells you that he is going to ticket you/take you to jail, you may run.

3. You may only use your car as a weapon in the act of self-defence. You may not use it to commence an attack on another person. (If you or your friend(s) are being attacked by someone, you may use your car to fight)

Building Rules:

1. You may only build on the grounds of your own property (Your home or place of business. If you are Police/SWAT, you may build inside the Nexus with the Mayor's permission ONLY)

2. As props must be crafted, prop protection is off. Please do not exploit this by doing things such as prop surfing, climbing, or killing. This will be heavily enforced.

Raiding Rules:

1. You and/or your party/organization can only raid the same place once every 40 minutes. The only exception is if the person you have raided has counter-raided you, and in that case you may raid them again.

2. Do not place down props during a raid (Attacking or defending)

3. If you die in a raid, do not come back until the raid is over (Attacking or defending)

4. You do not have to advert raid.

Police Rules:

1. No randomly arresting people with your handcuffs

2. If you're going to pull someone over, there must be a reason for it. (Speeding, reckless driving, car matches the description of a wanted criminal's car)

3. No ticketing cars/people randomly

4. You must always try arresting someone first before using lethal force

5. In a police chase, you may not shoot the criminal's vehicle for 4 minutes. After this time has passed, you may shoot their vehicle to stop them, and then attempt to make an arrest. If the criminal has a weapon out at this point, you may use lethal force to kill them.

6. You may only use spike strips if there is a request for them during a police chase. You may not randomly place them down for fun or any other reason.

7. If you die during a raid, you may come back ONLY IF another officer calls for backup in your next life. (If you die during a raid, respawn in the Nexus, and an officer who is still in the raid calls for backup, you may go back)

8. You may warrant someone ONLY IF you have sufficient evidence that they have broken the law and/or they are wanted and have gone into hiding. If there is a mayor, your warrant must pass through him.

9. To start a police raid, you must have a warrant.

10. As SWAT, you must stay at the Nexus (Inside or right outside) at all times until another officer calls for SWAT backup during a raid. If there is a mayor, you will defend him at all times (wherever he goes) until your assistance is needed elsewhere

11. Secret Service must follow and protect the mayor at all times. No exceptions.

12. Undercover police must follow all the rules of conventional police.

13. When arresting someone, you must personally bring them into the jail and set a time for them. Be reasonable and don't abuse the jail timer.

14. Don't bait/harass people to try and get them to commit a crime in front of you.

15. You may not be a corrupt police officer so you must follow all rules/laws.

Mayor Rules:

1. You may set the laws by typing "/law" or "/laws". You must be reasonable when making laws (A law saying that beer is illegal is okay, but a law saying "RDM is legal" or, "No gays" is not allowed)

2. You may press "F2" to bring up the mayor's menu.

3. You may use the mayoral office if you please, but you may also purchase private property to use as well.

4. You may not use a weapon as mayor.

5. As mayor, you are not killable by the general public until you set the tax rate to 40% or higher. A private organization or person may attack the mayor if they have been provoked by him in some way.
